What the code describes
IEC 60529 classifies degrees of protection provided by electrical enclosures. The first numeral addresses access and solid foreign objects; the second addresses harmful water ingress.
- Read both positions; one digit does not replace the other.

- Ask for model-specific test or declaration documents where required.
